Its nice to know that someone is thinking of you and cares about you that they would spend their time and money to encourage you. If you were to purely follow television commercials to determine what would 'save your life' what would your life look like? Matthew 16.13-28 Reference: v.25 "For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." (NIV Bible)
In Secondary school I had a brilliant maths teacher. He was known for his intelligence and as a mathematical genius. As a teacher, however, he was terrible. Matthew 16.1-12 Reference: v. 3 “…and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” (NIV Bible)
We can say trite comments like, ‘love the sinner; hate the sin’. But doesn’t that stand for every single person? An old house mate of mine was great at telling stories. While I listened to his stories I learnt a lot about the city we lived in and even more about my mate.

The pressures and the needs will always be there but if we address them from a place of refreshment then we have a greater capacity to deal with the situation. We can never fully conclude all that Jesus did or said. He is God and there will always be an element of mystery and unknown about Him.
