All Things Are PossiblePosted by Linda Bailey in weakness, REAP, miracle, Mark, faith |

We all have set boundaries that we function best within.
Reference: v.27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." (NIV Bible)
Explore: Most people know their limitations. I know that I function better on more than seven hours sleep. I know that very creamy sauces mess with my stomach. I know that I would prefer to deliver a sermon rather than write a policy document. We all have set boundaries that we function best within.
Application: God does not have boundaries! When the Israelites were fleeing from Pharaoh's army God was not restricted by the Red Sea; When Blind Bartimaeus was begging by the roadside Jesus was not restricted by a disability; Whenever we face an insurmountable situation God is not restricted by our limitations. "All things are possible with God." Sometimes we forget this quote from Jesus. We think that only the 'super-Christians' would receive miraculous help from God; We think that only those who are missionaries would have access to divine intervention. We must not restrict God by our limitations. God can and does do the impossible. It's often our faith and trust in God the restricts Him to do even more.
Prayer: Lord, even You would be aware of our limitations. However, You have a 'cup half full' mentality. You look at the possible, not the insurmountable. May we see the opportunities with Your eyes. Amen.
Is there something in your life that seems insurmountable? Ask the God of possibilities to help.
